An iOS RPG

Veradis

The Fading

A world draining of color. One survivor who shouldn't exist. A question nobody has thought to ask the thing responsible.

The Story

Everything is fading.
You walked out anyway.

Elden Hollow went Grey on a Tuesday morning. The baker's hand froze mid-reach. Your best friend stopped mid-sentence. The whole village suspended in a moment — colorless, still, perfect.

You walked out. You shouldn't have been able to. In two hundred years of documented Grey Zones, nobody has ever walked out.

The Archivists call the thing responsible The Blank. They've been watching it slowly reclaim the world for centuries. They don't know how to stop it. They don't know what you are. But they think those two facts might be connected.

Elden Hollow, after

The Fading

Before. After.

The Grey doesn't destroy. It preserves. Every person, every blade of grass, every half-finished sentence — frozen exactly as it was. Which is somehow worse.

The Party

Who travels with you

Nobody chose this. They're going anyway.

Ash

Ash

Protagonist · Anomaly

Mute. Sole survivor of Elden Hollow. Exists outside the Chroma system in a way nobody can explain — including The Blank, which made the Chroma system.

Meri

Meridian

Archivist · Precision Magic

Expelled Archivist scholar. Knows more about Chroma theory than anyone alive. Got expelled for actually using that knowledge to help people, which apparently violated policy.

Gable

Gable

Resonator · Sound-Based Magic

Self-taught musician who built an instrument that translates Chroma frequencies into sound. Names everything, including enemies. His theories are unusual. His theories are usually correct.

Vale

Vale

Former Soldier · Fracture Techniques

Walked away from a military career she was very good at after concluding it was mostly wrong. Traveling without a destination until she had one.

The Brass Expanse

The Brass Expanse

Old machines still running in the grey. Nobody knows why they keep running.

Bestiary

What lives in the grey

Enemies exist in two forms: what they look like on the overworld, and what they become in battle. If your level exceeds theirs, they'll avoid you. If you're below it — they come running.

Design

How it plays

👁

Visible Enemies

No random encounters. Enemies on the overworld. Outleveled them? They run. They're stronger? They chase. The map tells you everything through behavior.

⚔️

Active Combat

Turn-based with timed inputs. Every hit, every block, every ability has an action window. Gable's moves sync to rhythm. You're always doing something.

💾

Autosave + Save Points

Autosaves on every area transition and before every boss. Save points fully restore HP and Chroma. Mobile players pick up and put down constantly — the game knows this.

🗺

No Waypoints

No objective markers. No difficulty sliders. No minimap arrows. The world rewards exploration and attention. The Cartographer's map has one deliberate error in it.

🎵

Orchestrated Pixel Score

Sounds 16-bit, plays orchestral. Rich arrangements that feel like a memory of a sound — specific to each area, character, and moment.

📖

Procedural Side Content

A Dynamic Narrative System generates unique side quests at New Game — templated, LLM-skinned, baked into your save file. No two runs are identical. No live API calls during gameplay.
